gonna make a man fat one day.

this semester i have really enjoyed cooking. This is probably not the best thing for me, but it'll be a good thing for the future. I'll make a man fat one day with my mad cooking skills. yesterday morning i made

9 months from today is my birthday

i see you through my window, while i'm studying at my table inside.

So today's post will be everything i see happening in the parking lot while i study-

there is this hill of dirt {where they tore crap down and the blessed chicken coops!} and is over grown with pretty weeds. Anyways, i go over there to take pictures and it's actually quite pretty. I look out my kitchen window and always feel like i'm in ireland. I feel like i should play some bag pipe music now or something. lol. so it is now called the Irish hill of beauty.

There is this guy who lives rather close to me. {and i honestly don't care if he sees this because i'm moving out in 1.5 weeks} And he is known in my ward by, "the most attractive guy in the ward." i cannot tell you how many times someone will say that and then all the girls know exactly who it is that's being talked about. it's great. So today while i was doing my homework i see him pull into the parking lot on his sexy bike. {like the motorcycle kind not the peddle kind} So i stop studying for a second and just gaze into his beautiful helmet. He walks towards my apartment and goes into his. back to my studying.

10 minutes later. He walks out of his apartment with his helmet in one hand and 2 ginormica trash bags thrown over his right shoulder all manly like. He chucks them ever-so-easily into the dumpster and goes to his bike. And then rides off. :D it was a good day to gaze out the window. I touched one of the wheels of his motorcycle this one time. Yeah.... no one was home at his apartment and the UPS guy delivered it to my apartment instead. So he came by to get it and i got to roll his new wheel to him. It was a very special moment in my life let me tell you. :P
He is also sunday school pres {i believe.....} And gives really nice lessons. My sister came to visit at the beginning of the year and said, "do you think they have him teach because he's easy to look at?" haha. gotta love someone who tells it how it is.

have you ever seen a someone carrying 3 full garbage bags riding a skateboard to take out the trash?? I would have answered with a no.... before today while studying at my kitchen table. I got a kick out of it. He was doing pretty good, and then he got a little off balance and CRASH! he fell onto his garbage bags. hahahah! sad, but hilarious! poor kid. Maybe next time he'll take the extra minute to plainly walk them out.

Anyways, that was the highlight of my study time. and then i sit here wondering why i don't remember everything i studied....
it's fine. i got A's on all my other tests and paper in photo history, i can fail the final...... right?

But on a very important side note-

hulu lets me pick what commercial i watch! Here i am watching ANTM photo shoot {America's Next Top Model, duh} and it's commercial time. but then i don't hear anything.... and then 3 choices pop up! One-cat food, two-5 gum, 3-some car. hello, i wanna see the gum one! It was an exciting thing to me. What a clever idea for them to think of. If i have to watch a dumb commercial, they might as well let me pick the least dumb one, right?? High five HULU!

And.... i found a long lost can of cranberry sauce on my food shelf today! for all of those who do not know, Cranberry sauce is the reason i go to Thanksgiving dinner. so, naturally i get excited to see it and knock it off my shelf, creating a huge dent in the side. And said dent prevented me from getting it out of the can in a pretty fashion. so i took a bite and it was not cold enough so i put it in the freezer to take a lil' chill before i ate some of it. And then i ate some of it..... yeah it's gone now...... don't judge me, i just like cranberry sauce. Next time i'm going to resist and let it freeze! It'll be like a Popsicle! I'm trying this. This summer. And then i'll blog about it.

alright well i have to get up at the bum crack of dawn {6 am if we're being precise} so this is my time to tell you sleep tight and to not let the nasty bed bugs attack you in your slumber. :D

Countdown from dead week, drawing, college

so it's definitely not identical, but for me, it's pretty good.
i sent a picture to my brother. he asked, "sweet! is it a Roman gladiator?". i said, "no, a ballerina." he replied, "oh, that would have been my next guess." what a dork!

Countdown till first year is over. :'( / :D
  • 12 days
  • 5 classes
  • one poster presentation
  • one painting
  • one photoshop drawing
  • 4 more dark room prints {one of which is a 16x20}
  • one photo history final
  • one real weekend of fun in Logan
  • a LONG list of clean check stuff
  • Packing. BOOOOO!
AH! so so so much to do!
I'm having a hard time balancing fun and homework right now because i don't want to miss anything in the time that i have left in Logan before i have to go back to Orem to work. boo. It is so worth going to school for 4 years, being poor, working really hard, etc to be able to do what i love. There is nothing that reminds me of this better than going back to an hourly job at a grocery store. Although it's not an awful place to work, i'd never be able to do it full time for the rest of my life. I don't understand how people can. I very very thankful for the opportunity i have to attend College. I also grateful that i love it so much! It's like i've been waiting for this moment {college} to happen for years! I hated all the useless classes i had to take in high school, but because i did most of them concurrently i don't have to take nearly as many generals in college. Killing 2 birds with one stone is the way to go. Moral of the story-find something you love, go to school to be able to do what you love, then do what you love to do for the rest of your working years. SOOOOO much better than the alternative. {i should be the spokeswoman for furthering education. :P}

i'm now going to go read my photo hist text book. wish me some luck with not zoning out.

'Tis Easter- the day of dying eggs, good meals, and spirituality.

Today was the chillest Easter ever.
as promised, here are some pictures of little sexy dexy.
love this one!
betsy freaking out about it pooping on her hand.
it's temporary home. now it lives in an old fish tank.

Alright so here's what i did today-
went to church-{see below}, read 20 pages in my photo history text book. Made a cake

Chocolate butterscotch with dark chocolate and Butterfinger on top.
and also rice made with chicken broth, gravy, and red potatoes and rosemary chicken. YUM!

and then we dyed easter eggs.
Betsy and Ashley are hot sexy mamas!
{Did i mention that i'm a member of the mermaid club again?? yeah, i need to find a new hair style. If you have any good ideas, i'd LOVE to hear them. Leave me a comment!}
and my home teacher, cade came over. he brought me a cute little easter egg snickers bar. and then my super super super super sweet visiting teachers, kim and cami jo, came over! they brought me a cute easter egg card and a bag of my favorite Mini Cadbury Eggs. Seriously though, i am so blessed! I have had the best college experience and it has mostly to do with the amazing people that i have met and love!
sorry, it's a skosh dark....
it's not like i'm a photo major or anything. ;)

and here is my blurb about my beliefs {it is Easter after all :D}-

College wards look like the black plague hit on holidays. They are SO small. it was still really good though. I love Easter. How everything is focused on Christ and his atonement. Makes me remember the real important things in my life and what matters most. i am grateful to be able to be forgiven of my sins. there is such a hope given to me each sunday and i'm grateful for the knowledge that i have that i can return to my Father in heaven one day.
I've been thinking a lot about How Heavenly Mother isn't mentioned a lot. I honestly cannot wait to meet her one day. I mean, my earthly mother is amazing so my heavenly mother must also be! About a month ago was the relief society birthday party in my ward. one of the members of the bishopric spoke. He talked about how his wife's mom had died a few years ago and to see how hard it was on her to not have her mom with her. He told us that daughters should not be left on Earth without their mothers. This got me thinking about my Heavenly Mother. I've heard that nothing compares to a mother's love for her children. i don't fully understand this yet, for i do not have children of my own. I can only Imagine the love that she has for all of her children. I can't wait for one day to learn more about her and to meet her again. I'm sure that she is just as concerned about me and loves me just as much as my Heavenly Father does.

exactly one year ago today, i was excepted into the art department of USU. {read about it here} One year later, here i am fully immersed in art classes and now, accepted into my dream major and feeling extremely blessed. i am SO excited to be doing what i love. Everyone keeps telling me {and has told me for quite some time} that i'll change my major several times before i'm done..... i can honestly say that i doubt it. I have a plan and i plan on following through with this plan. :D

Wonderful wedding!!

days like today are so great!
I love LOVE love LOVE shooting weddings! seriously though. Everyone is just so happy! and all the family is there, everyone is talking about their memories from a long time ago, etc.
in this case, the bride and groom had both been married before and both have families. The groom had 9 children and the bride had 3. there were 46 grandkids and 3 great grandkids. While at the luncheon meeting so many new people and watching how they all interacted with each other really made me want to have a large family. They had not all been together in a while because they all live different places and so i think the reunion meant a lot to them. Honestly though, i want that some day. I want to grow old with the man i love and watch our children grow up and have families of their own.
I don't think i could get any greater satisfaction than seeing my own children live their lives to the best of their ability.
Anyways this was a huge group! HUGE! it was also super fun because the wedding and reception was western themed and so everyone was dressed up like cowboys and cowgirls! The whole family had a blast. And i did too. I love weddings. I love being happy. :D

short post, but i've been going all day long. so.....
loves,
me

I have a son, avoiding a creeper, stupid contacts, and sleeping in uncomfortable positions.

in chronological order {because i'm cool like that}-

this morning i put my right contact in and guess what?? there was a tiny little rip in it. so i decided to change them both. only guess what?? the left eye of the new one i put in was retarded. but it only started being dumb when i got to the photo lab. And trying to enlarge prints while blind is definitely not an ideal situation. so, when your eye hurts, what do you do?? you rub it. bad idea number 2 of the day. why? Because when you have photo developing chemicals on your hands it creates a burning sensation in your eye. so then i went to the bath room and chucked water into it. so at this point my right eye had make up and my left had running mascara. to say the very least i looked like a babe. It's how i get the normal guys. so i came home and took my contacts out and put my glasses on.

then betsy and i watched "You've got mail." and i fell asleep in the little chair in a super weird position. {not that there is a normal way to sleep in said chair....}. so i woke up and my neck hurt. But it is really just fine now.

and then!!!!! the girls of P4 got a son!!!!! Dexter is his name, or sexy Dexy for short {or... i guess for long} we became mothers at petco. he is pretty cute if you ask me {he's a hamster}. But i don't like to hold him. Because he pooped all over Ash and Betsy. I am just his godmother. Because that's cooler anyways.

Tonight at the institute dance we were trying to avoid "Relyk" the creeper. We were doing SO good and then out of nowhere he creeped on Betsy. poor girl. Then after he says, "you act as if we're strangers!" and i reply with a completely non sarcastic remark like, "I wish we were though." and he took it as a joke. This was not a joke. But, what ever toots his horn. and then we slyly ditched him and then were on our way out and he decided to be creepy again and insisted on giving us a ride home after covering Betsy's eyes saying "Guess who." geez. Thank heavens he didn't insist on coming in!

well i am headed to Brigham for the night. i wish i had time to post pictures of my handsome god son but i don't. i will do that tomorrow or sunday.

some of the best quotes of the day-

"do you think we could make hamburger helper without the hamburger?"
"the best part of this microwave is that we can't get breast cancer from it!"
"i think the Hamster just flipped me off!"
"we need to teach him it's bad manners to poop on other people."
"i went rock climbing today! with real rocks! like the mountain kind!"
"we can't name him "flow"!! that's a fish name!"

it was "A-Day" today. Which means it's true aggie night. which means you can kiss on the "A" and not even have to kiss someone who's already a true aggie. And i missed it. It's fine, i had no one i wanted to kiss anyways.
Especially after the big revelation of the day that i am definitely not mentioning. sigh.
don't even worry though, tomorrow i'm shooting my 4th wedding!

night homeboys. and homegirls too.

My camera future drawing, the pros of next year, and yellow frosting.

Last night i went to bed at 10:30! I haven't gone to bed that early since..... probably December. i honestly can't remember. I woke up at 10 am. :D I feel waaaaaay good today! And guess what else? i sluffed my science class {and test today}. Because i didn't have to take it.
So i did this-
on photoshop. i have to draw it now. boo!! It'll be better than drawing something else though. Bring on the sharpies. :D

2 weeks from tonight i will be done with my first year of college! why i am excited about this-
  • Not being the smallest fish in the HUGE pond.
  • when a guy asks what year i am i don't have to hear the "....ohhhhhhh........." comment when i say freshmen. Even though sometimes i "semi-lie" and say sophomore. Because credit wise i am......
  • living on the old side of old farm
  • being in my major!!!
  • not having painting and drawing classes. :D:D
  • possibly meeting my future eternal companion in western swing dancing class. Because where else am i supposed to find a cowboy?? none of them take art classes. unless they're the "broke back" kind of cowboys. And then that wouldn't work either. what an "unfortunosity". {as Betsy would say}
  • sharing 1 bathroom with six girls {okay not looking forward to it. mainly i just like imagining all the hilarious problems this could cause.}
  • if i think of more i'll let you know..... bucause as you know, using bullet points is my all-time favorite way to blog! :D
So a couple weeks ago i saw a newspaper article title that said, "Book of mormon the musical." i was in a hurry and never looked at it but then today, my past manager/boss/teacher/advisor {have no idea what to call her} from my internship at Fotogenix, Tiffany {who is pretty fetchin' awesome!}, had a link on her facebook to this article. I read it and it's a good article. So then i did a little research on the "musical" and it sounds pretty awfully wrong. When i hear "book of mormon the musical" i think of the animated movies that all the malls in Utah sell at the kiosk things. Anyways if you want to read the Book of Mormon, the book {not musical} leave me a comment and i'll get you one for free. And then if you want it to be a musical you can put a CD in of the primary songs or the Hymns while you read it. I'm pretty brilliant when it comes to good ideas. :)

I'm headed to my 3rd to last painting and drawing 2 class in apx 45 minutes. *claps hands excitedly* i have 2 drawings left (one above) and i have to try and copy this one-
it's by Edgar DeGas. it looks simpler to me than others. and when it comes to Brianna+drawing, simple is the best possible scenario.

and 1.5 paintings left.
this is the one that is half done. i am doing it from a picture i took a year ago.
and then my master painting-

i am so not looking forward to it.

favorite thing said yesterday- "She didn't lock the door!! So she came in!" "Tell her she will have to live with her consequences and entertain her!" haha.

And i made a chocolate cake yesterday. And died the butter cream frosting {made from Melissa's cupcake calendar of wonderfulness} yellow in honor of hoping spring will come. it was great. But then it hailed today, so i don't think my cake worked. :'( But there's still some left, so come over and grab a piece if you're in Logan. :D
