I finished my painting today! and i finished my final in drawing! { This means the only class i have stuff left in is Photo 2!!} here they are-

i'm pretty sure i want to make wallpaper out of this. I'm pretty stoked about how it turned out.

This is how i paint. i take over the whole table and have to get in the zone. And then i paint so much i lose track of time. It's bizarre. i never thought that would happen to me with painting. I mean when i go on photo shoots i always lose track of the time, but it's weird that it happened with painting too. Never has happened with drawing. I am hyper aware of time with drawing. i HATE drawing.

this is my first drawing, first day of college.

this person {who i am still unsure if it was a guy or girl... but leaning toward guy...} knew every song of sean's and recorded himself singing ever song. I had more fun watching him than the actual concert. It was pretty darn entertaining. haha. and lauren was crepin' on him.

those two ladies were my favorite. it was hilarious! they were waaaay older than the average person there and they were borderline obsessed with mr k.

pet peeve- when people try to be funny in the picture you're taking.

i don't think that the concert was worth the money that the university paid for it. the only part that was good was the "fire burnin" song.

being sick=being bored=another blogpost

so the past few days i've been getting sicker. :P BOO! just a dumb head cold. but it's good that it has been conference so i can lounge around my apartment in my PJ's.

So conference was wonderful! I really really really really enjoyed Elder Scott's talk!

it was super adorable how he talked about his wife and all the thoughtful things they did for each other while being married.

{i love these guys!}

I had my questions answered and worries calmed too. :D

Anyways last night i went with betsy and ashley to my friend Carrie's house for banana splits while all the (good) young lads were off at the Priesthood session. {we were driving around town and someone mentioned that they love not seeing guys out for the night because they are all being righteous. and the ones who aren't there we were supposed to glare at them haha} :D She made homemade caramel syrup and homemade chocolate syrup! and had like 50 toppings for them! They were most excellent.

then we watched the Legends of Zorro. never in my life had i seen it. It was super awesome! Antonia Banderaz is a babe.

favorite line of the movie- "you should put some lipstick on if you're going to act like my mother!" bahaha!

I am a Utah State Aggie (WOOT!) and I am an Orem High Graduate! I love to take pictures, read, take pictures, have fun, take pictures, and go to Aggie athletic events, etc. I have the BEST roommates in the world. We have a ton of fun, weird conversations, do random spur of the moment things, and enjoy once a week roommate bonding night/i hate boys night/i hate scratchy sock night by eating ice cream and watching a chick-flick.

goals include- dating a cowboy, kissing in the library, traveling to Europe, learn how to control the TV/DVD in my house in Orem, perfect the art of making gravy, Photograph an elaborate wedding, fly a plane, pull an all nighter, become an expert in Facebook stalking, own a 4 door jeep, play red rover in the middle of a large intersection, have someone named after me, have a baby boy before Ashleigh so i get the fought after name, own a horse, go on a sleigh ride, turn 20, fly in a hot air balloon, kiss under mistletoe, take a successful photo of the moon and it's craters, own a legit ranch, marry in the temple, have an adventure every day of my life with him, and live happily ever after with my very own Mr Perfectly Imperfect. :D

dating a cowboy- pretty self explanatory. i once read this-

Although not all of this is why i want to date/marry/beinlovewith a cowboy, it gives you the most of it. they are just SO adorable, and are at the essence of being gentlemen. sigh.

next-kissing in the library. there is a quote on our P4 quote wall of awesomeness that reads, "i want to kiss passionately in the library."-Brianna...... so i just have this dream of kissing someone in between weathered old paper and metal shelves okay? give me a break. it could be worse. i just think kissing in the library is somehow very romantic. :D

Traveling to Europe- I want to travel the world, europe being the first place i'd go outside the US. (i've already been to Canada). I want to go to Italy (#1) and Greece (#2) the most. I want to bring my camera and 6 cajilion memory cards to document ever milisecond of this adventure. And i need to go before i get married {not that this is happening soon} because everyone knows that after you get married you

• become even more poor
• boring
• and then more poor.

so obviously in the next 2 years is the most ideal time to travel the world.

learning how to control the TV/DVD at my house in Orem probly sounds ridiculous but you don't understand. There are at least 20-5000 cords and for some reason it's not as simple as pushing a button on the remote that the TV changes from cable to dvd to vcr back to cable. there is a series of un plugging, plugging, jamming, yelling, hoping, but mostly praying to get it to work. and i can never remember the order of how things work. So whenever i go home to visit, if i'm yelling from the basement for someone to help, my family doesn't reply or come. Because they know they will then have to help me figure it out. the only thing is that i hate it when they just do it, cause then i never can learn it. so i always make them teach me how to do it. But i still don't ever remember..... So therefore, this is a hefty and worthwhile goal of mine. :D

perfecting the art of making gravy- my mom, and grandma, and great grandma, etc. have this delicious way of making gravy. and i know how to make it, i just never can make it taste as good as theirs. they don't ever use a recipe so it's hard to make it exactly as theirs. i'm getting better, i just need more practice. and one day, my daughters will be saying the same things as me. :D

photograph an elaborate wedding. i want to take picture's for a waaay expensive wedding. one with name cards on the table, and where they serve dinner that cost over 200 a plate. :D there would be so much to take pictures of and it would be a dream come true for me. :D

fly a plane. It's my grandpa in me. He was in the air force. and i want to learn to fly an airplane. one day it will happen. and you all will be jealous.

pull an all nighter. don't make fun! I've tried! but i always fall short of it. And everyone always tells me that they do it because they procrastinated writing a really huge paper or project. but here's the problem- i physically cannot procrastinate. It stresses me out! and i do not do well with an overload of stress. so, i take the stress off of myself and get things done early. which in return prevents my goal of pulling an all nighter less possible.

Become an expert in facebook stalking. I'm pretty daggon good at this already but even i can improve a little more.

own a 4-door jeep. Because they are sexy! okay okay, i want my future husband to own one. But either way, i would own it. :D preferably a navy blue or yellow one.

play "red rover" in a busy intersection. Would this not be legit?!?! "red rover, red rover, send one mini van over!" i think it would be the highlight of anyone's life.

have someone named after me. story time! i've never shared that with anyone before but i have news! it might happen!! i got this random text from ash and it said, "so nathan has our first daughter's name picked out." i said, "and that is...?" and she said, "jocelyn NICHOLE." AHHHHHHH!!!!!!! that's my middle name!! and i know that it's not even my first name, but who cares?!??!!?! so this dream might in fact come true one day. now, ashleigh and Nathan just need to have a niece for me. :D

Having a baby boy before Ashleigh does. so growing up us girls like to come up with names for our future kiddos, right? well ash and i have the same name for our first born sons. And now that she's married i have not-so-secretly put a curse on her to only having girls until i have a boy first. the name- James. After our grandpa. :D and i am bound and determined that that name is mine!

own a horse- if i marry a cowboy this should be a piece of cake. If i don't, then i want to raise my sons as cowboys. so then they can make other girl's dream of marrying a cowboy come true one day. ;) jk jk. but a horse would be neato to have.

go on a sleigh ride. like a legit horse drawn sleigh in the winter where it would lightly snow throughout. and this, would be perfectly romantic too! :D

turn 20- i'm less than 10 months away. Hopefully i don't die before then. I feel like i've been a teenager for far too long. don't get me wrong, i've had the most wonderful teenage years ever, but still. 20 finally sounds grown up. :D

fly in a hot air balloon. sounds scary, sounds pretty awesome! i just read a book once and there was a couple scenes where there were hot air balloons. And i want to go in one now. :D

kiss under mistletoe. (i know, another kissing one){my friend tara made a list of all the places she wants to be kissed and told me i should do one too.... so i did...... but that is for a different post.....maybe.} i know this is cliche but who cares!

take a successful photo of the moon and it's craters. i have attempted this 4 times. and failed more than miserably every time. i need a better lens.

own a legit ranch- once again, this whole marrying a cowboy would make this easier.

get married in the temple- DUH!

have an adventure ever day of my life with him- i always feel ridiculous when i say this but my greatest goal in life is marrying my very own perfectly imperfect {for me} man in the temple and live happily ever after. I would give almost everything up i ever wanted (see random goals above) to have this.

anyways i'm done being cheesy for today.

i'm going to go take some drugs and hopefully get over my cold.

You make me touch your hands for stupid reasons!

so last night while i was in preston, Idaho stargazing betsy and melissa mentioned these funny youtube videos.

this first one is a dramatic reading of a breakup letter. sorry, there a few swear bear words and normally i wouldn't post it but it's hilarious! I hope if i ever write a breakup letter that i will at least be able to spell. No, actually i hope that if i ever write a breakup letter they will be as good as the one Ash wrote. Anyways, go watch it. i love the line where she says, "you make me touch your hands for stupid reasons!" hhah.

the other one they mentioned has been all over facebook but i've never made the time to watch it. but i did last night and nearly peed my pants. haha. This video cracks me up. she sounds like a robot, her friends in the back of the car with braces can't dance, she's super awkward on stage, and they tell us what days come before and after friday. It's like a sesame street song. haha. it takes some pretty good "talent" to get that many dislikes on youtube. haha. poor girl, she'll probably have bad self esteem. It's said that she's going to be the new Justin Bieber. I am going to call it right now that they will end up together in a little month-long relationship! haha.

Last night while we were having our little bon fire melissa and betsy get the brilliant idea to jump into the lake..... so me being the good friend i am.... just took pictures. :P

Anywho, it was funny to see the steam coming off of them when they were standing next to fire after that. hahaha!

The most wonderful things

People just make me happy. Okay well some people do. especially these people-

my roommates. (in alphabetical order cause i'm cool like that)

Anna- her ability to make the best lean cuisines ever. ;) She's engaged too! Anna is very caring, she gives me boy advice and is really good at listening.

Ashley- the other day i was having a bad day and ashley just pulled me up off the couch and gave me the biggest hug. I started crying. it was exactly what i needed and she makes me feel happy. She is really caring and i don't get to see her as much anymore because she has a BF. lame. jk ash.

Betsy- my "room roommate" as i call it. Betsy and i go waaay back. from the time in 7th grade when she didn't come to the party i invited her to. :P Betsy hears all my complaints, opinions, goals, cries, and even eats my food concoctions. Betsy is the best friend a girl could ask for. Betsy has a 1 of a kind personality that is sincere. she's not fake at all and people like this about her. she tells it how it is.

Melissa- the woman of every talent. She can even fix the garbage disposal. :D Melissa is there for me all hours of the day. i know that i can talk to her about whatever and she will give me the neutral advice that i need sometimes. she's going to be a great missionary too. :D

Tara- LOVE this girl. tara and i come from a similar background and we bonded over understanding each other. It's nice to be able to talk to her and know that when she says she understands she really does. she is adventurous and we keep a list of_______ together too. which i still need to write down officially. ;)

Lauren- my little laurenita! i love when she gets into these random fits of laughing. it makes everyone laugh. she will even watch miss america with me. lauren loves life and she radiates with the light of the gospel and her joy for life. Lauren knows who she is and won't let anyone's opinions change this.

Mckenna- she has the best personality. she is SO beautiful. honestly. the boys are probably all after her! Mckenna can have a fun time with a roll of paper towels. She is caring and is a very true friend to everyone. She also has a way of getting out of situations that i don't know how to get out of. haha.

Carrie- i met her my first day in logan. she is one of the most wonderful girls i've ever met. She is nearly perfect. she is a hard worker, SO smart, she is one of the greatest example of showing a Christlike love toward everyone that i have ever met. I need to do more with her so i can learn from her. She is one of those people that is good at everything but you can't dislike them because they are so stinkin' sweet too!

Happy 2011 ya'll!

gooooooood heavens it's been a while. like last year since i posted! woooah!

Is it possible that a ton has happened since the dumb dr pepper can exploded but nothing at all at the same time?

good news! i curled my brother's eyelashes today! haha.

here is a list of not so exciting things i've done this break.... in no particular order of non excitement-

1- i left my journal in logan. :( so i had to write about my life in a separate notebook and then my friend laurenita brought it up when she came. so then i stapled all of my life into my journal. i was gonna glue it.... but then it was taking too long. so don't worry, i still haven't missed a day in 3.5 years. :D

2- my blind date texted me and said sorry for being boring. ummm... boring was not my problem with him. oh did i mention he swore in the text he sent me? so i told him i don't like cuss words. he never responded back. well see ya!

3-ash got us lost. TWICE! she took the wrong freeway and we were headed probably to italy or something. But i'm un-lost now.

4- the award that is above ashleigh's bed. hahahaha. umm... not gonna say what's it's for.

5-when i accidentally said the word that i really didn't want to say.

6-finding out that my roommates aren't the only roommates who try to educate me on things of the world.

7-ash can dance! she's got hips!

8-i read matched. by aly condie. :D

9-Q and Em's band concert..... the most annoying lady was sitting behind me and she kept yelling things like Halverson (the band teacher) for president and halverson's hot. i wanted to strangle her. or something.

10 bridger (Q's friend) saying "i broke my butt over summer.......aren't you gonna ask me how i broke it?"

10- i met david archuleta. okay i really didn't. but i saw him in person. and he is a b a b e. i'm going to see him at the temple one day....

11-finding out my GPA. yeah. 3.85. jealous? Ash is.

12- the USU vs UVU BBgame. we WON! booya!

13- car following. 2 "attractive guys" that turned out to be 1 ugly guy and 1 girl with short hair. I don't succeed at looking. haha

14-learning that my friends and i are the only ones that didn't have a date the car following night.

15- ash being a baby hog at church. here's ash holding a happy baby. happy baby. oh crying baby here bri, you can have him. gee thanks ash. don't worry i rocked said baby to sleep.

16- harmons. i like my new managers a lot better than the old ones.

17- Taylor at work not being able to subtract. hahah. p.s. you better come visit me in logan!

18-the letter we got in the mail that was addressed to "the parents of dean" my dad. hahah. it was like jr high grades coming in the mail all over again.

19-taking our family pics in our living room. Ash and Q acting like their legs hurt from it. as if! haha it was really funny.

20-the picture frame i got for nathan and ash for christmas. kandi jumped on it and it shattered. thanks dog.

21-I met caitlin! she's a doll. and my favorite 7 year old girl.

22-this drunk guy that came into work in a long black coat made of fur. he had pink pj bottoms on underneath it and then said he had a fish in his pocket. he told me his wife was pregnant and she sent him to the store for pop corn kernels. keep in mind he was in his late 50's. weird.

42- o my gosh! the night i worked and then entire night the same 20 minutes of music played over and over and over and over and OVER AND OVER again! i've never been so sick of billy joels' uptown girl before. apparently the satellite was covered in snow so the radio signal was blocked. taylor said he didn't think it was playing over and over again. you were wrong. i was right. :P

43- taylor broke the toy car i was playing with too. But he did give me chucky cheese coin back. haha.

44-decoratin Nathan's house with ash. for his bday.

45- falling off his couch and breaking his fern. betsy said, "aww cute! they have a love fern!" yeah, and i broke it. I'm sorry !! it was ashleigh's fault. she's a bad throw.

46- emilie breaking his chair while decorating. hahahahaha.

47-ash texting him and saying that her ding-bat sister broke his legs and another limb. haha

48-SLEEPOVER WITH MY BESTIES!

49- that stupid austin kid that ruined our hot tub plans.

55-fitting into jeans 3 sizes smaller than what i fit into at graduation. :D yeah that's right. still have about 3 to go till me goal though.

56-the bird that flew down our chimney and caught on fire.

58-being not a wimp and getting a guys number that i had been wanting to get since summer.

59-MARCOS coming to visit! i love this cousin! he's awesome. "this picture give's me butterflies." "then ask her out!" " i can't. i'm too old for her." "do it!"
