I have moved up in the world! I no longer will ever have to go to a drawing or painting class again! I am on to much bigger and better things {i.e. photography and graphics} :D :D This is where it's at. I had no idea that i had it in me to get through them, but i did it! Who knew that i cold draw like Degas and paint like Van Gogh???..... well sorta.... i could barely draw a stick figure in a dress before and now i can draw/paint things that look normal to life! if i can dig up my drawing from my first day of college i will post it so you can see how cruddy i was compared to my "averageness" now.

i have to move in 9 days... :'( i am going to miss school and logan and my apartment and friends SOOOOO much! i want August to be here already.....and May hasn't even started yet.... this is worse than my senioritis was last year.

so i was going to put the title of my blog as "Idgit" {or a simpler definition would be-boys} in honor of Melissa. haha. We decided that each of the roommates have things that we always say and we kind of have stolen from each other. Mine is "Rude" {betsy says that i say it uhRUDE! [or i guess aaaarude] with a little uh or something like that before it haha} and Betsy's is "seriously" or "it's fine". and Ashley's is "i like it!" {but she says it, "iiiiiiaaaaalikeit!" all in one syllable. haha} and since Anna was a roommate too hers was, "i'm in a weird mood". we're kind of legit roomies. I'm gonna miss them.....like a dog. haha. we have a note on the fridge that anna left that says, "i miss you! (like a dog)" inside joke :)

So i've noticed that my journal entries have gotten seriously shorter in length since i started blogging more often..... This is not good. My journal probably thinks i hate it. So i A-need to stop blogging so i can write better in my journal for my posterity or something like that, or B-need to print out my blog posts and tape them into my journal with a cool color of duct tape because my grandma taught me that there was no other tape than duct tape. i'll let you know how my endeavors go.

Annnnnyways. i'm going to bed. gotta get me some more dark room time in tomorrow morning before the sean kingston concert here at USU. be jealous, cause i know ya'll are. :D

By far the bestest Wednesday of the semester.

I really should not be blogging right now but instead should be-- drawing/painting/SLEEPING/dying. But i had a really good day so i must blog and not break my habbit. :D

First off {the bad part of the day} I slept zero hours last night. Honestly. I tossed and turned and then tossed some more. Poor Betsy, she probably got waaay less sleep last night because of me squeaking the bed and such. {sorry moo... i mean Betsy :P} Anyways i decide to get up an hour early cause i couldn't sleep anyways and to get to the photo lab and work on stuff before class started/before Taylor got here. But all the developer was gone, and the powder stuff to make new developer was locked up and so there i sat in the photo lab for an hour doing nothing of worth. I'm trying sooo sooo hard to get ahead and finish all my portfolio before no test week and nothing is working in my favor. *sigh* It's fine, i know things will work out. note to self- Don't give up, have more faith. Okay i'm good now.

Anyways, i came home and then Taylor got here! woohoo! He came with a gift for betsy- a cow mug that is standing on 4 utters. {this is a long story, one that i am too tired to write about right now. If you want to hear about it leave me a comment and i'll tell it tomorrow} Anna and Brian, and Melissa and greg and Betsy and i went to the Bluebird restaurant for lunch. It was good and i had leftovers {score! no cooking dinner tomorrow! :P} the best part of this was A-betsy "spilling" her butter and ice water so she had to move seats, and B- Greg, Taylor and Brian trying to figure out what "LMH" is.

After that Taylor wanted to drive to the temple and walk around. to which we walked around at least twice. it was pretty fun. He wanted a picture but his camera was dead which means i have all the pictures which in return means that i can do with them as i please. ;) haha. I sang him the song You're So Vain because he wanted lots of pictures of himself. I told him they'd end up on facebook. But here are only 2. and i'm in 1 of them. So i am being nice. Especially because he looks drugged in one of them. lol

Well then i took him around campus and showed him the big things. {i'm pretty sure he's going to come up to school here now because i'm that persuasive lol. :P} Then he met Laurenita. Showed him the art building and then i had to go to my class. Which was SOOOOO pointless. All we did was watch a long movie on Alfred Stieglitz. And don't get me wrong, i love the man and his photographs are pretty epic, but i learned all about him in high school.

*****cue goodnews***** confession- I Brianna, the one with blue eyes and brown hair, have never ever ever fallen asleep in any class ever. Not in preschool, not in grade school, not in jr high, not in high school, not in college.

that is- until TODAY!!!!!! this is not a joke. In all seriousness. I have the inability to fall asleep when people are watching me/when a teacher is teaching/ being at a table with chairs/ in a classroom setting. But i totally fell asleep today during that uberly boring movie! When i woke up i honestly felt like doing a dance. I just needed some good music and i would have. Betsy was so proud of me! I was so proud of me. And then the heavens cried snowflakes of happiness for me.

only i wish i wouldn't have made them cry, Because it was such a nice day today and i highly doubt Taylor enjoyed driving home in it. In fact, he told me himself like 40 cajillion times. lol

The group went to wendy's and then to Aggie ice cream where i semi found out what conversations went on in my apartment while i was in class. Which still makes me on the nervous side of the spectrum....and at this point i felt like dying.

So i came home, took some drugs, and put sweats on and Betsy's rainboots. I don't know why this has anything to do with anything else in this post but it made me happy. :D

It was an all around wonderful day.

While studying for a genetics test in Biology Betsy said,

this weekend was a BLAST! all the roommates went down to north ogden and Huntsville to Anna's house. Everyone had talked about it being big but man, my definition of huge just changed. they mean HUGE! like the size of a temple, huge.

i must say, though, that the best was when anna turned on the lights at the end and everyone had tears rolling down their faces.

country. swing. dancing.

So i went country swing dancing for the 3rd time since moving to logan in August. :D it was the most successful of all the times.

probably because i'm working on one of my new year's resolutions of being more brave.... or maybe cause my roommates, Melissa and Betsy give me death threats to ask guys to dance. but i'd like to think it's cause i'm more brave. ;)

so i had 2 good experiences with guys asking me to dance, and 2 good experiences asking guys to dance. My roommates fiance, Brian asked me and twirled me around till i was way dizzy. he's funny.

{haha. this reminds me of the time when i danced with his roommate chad and he told me, "brianna, you twirl at a great equilibrium!" what does that even mean? i hope it's a good thing....}

the other guy that asked me was brennan. a guy that Betsy has gone on TWO dates with. he isn't the best at dancing but good enough. he tried this one dip and i had no idea what to do (because he put himself in the position to be the "dippi" (does that make sense?) of the dipping and i don't know how to dip a guy... anyways. but then he dipped me anyway and i thought the poor guy was going to fall over.

then i asked this EXTREMELY attractive cowboy. his name was jordan. jordan the cowboy. it sounds legit right??! he had this handsome plaid shirt and dreamy brown eyes with great LMH. (if you don't know what LMH is than you will have to just wonder because it is a privileged thing to know. :D and if you google it to find out, i am not talking about lawrence medical hospital) anyways we danced to a taylor swift song (PERFECT!) and he showed me how to do 4 new moves! one including a hip bump of sorts. sounds weird and lame, right? wrong. it was legit! and i learned this cool new spin that leads into an awesome dip thing. we will call it the jordan dip. he was from nevada.

and then there was mike. he was talkative! which was good but bad at the same time. good cause then you get to know them but bad because i was saying, "what?" more than anything else. but mike was nice. and he was more of a relaxed swing dancer than jordan. he was fun and had a really nice smile.

and then i danced to your love is my drug with betsy. and we made up our own swing dance moves. I think people probably want to learn our moves. Who wouldn't?!

i just NEED to take a swing dancing class. Because then i will actually have cowboy friends instead of admiring them from a distance.

New years resolution complete... sorta....

haha so last night was awesome!

i was at my photo history class and betsy texted me and said that i should come to lauren's apartment on my way home from class. i got out about 20 minutes early and showed up earlier than they were expecting. in other words, no one was home. ahha. so i called betsy and she said, "SHOOT! you're not supposed to be there yet." anywho, so then she told me to chill there and they were going to be there in a few. so i did. and then when i hung up it hit me. my birthday is tomorrow. (well today now) good one betsy. you stink at being sly. so melissa and tara came to get me and they kidnapped me and took me to wal mart. and we just walked around and they kept telling me to pick out flowers. so i did against my will. and pick out icecream. they were sly too.... NOT! so then we come home and i walk in the door and there are chairs everywhere in the living room..... so then they all jump out from behind places and "scare" me. it was great. anna and betsy made me a nice dinner. it was delicious!

so then tara and josh rounded up people to come eat cake waffles and ice cream with us. :D it was so fun. tara is trying to rub ashley's "love handles" in the above picture. they are really just called hips though.

oh the title of my post is because someone thanked me for having a birthday. so i told them that i try to have one once a year, kind of like a new years resolution thing for me. ahhaahha

The most wonderful things

People just make me happy. Okay well some people do. especially these people-

my roommates. (in alphabetical order cause i'm cool like that)

Anna- her ability to make the best lean cuisines ever. ;) She's engaged too! Anna is very caring, she gives me boy advice and is really good at listening.

Ashley- the other day i was having a bad day and ashley just pulled me up off the couch and gave me the biggest hug. I started crying. it was exactly what i needed and she makes me feel happy. She is really caring and i don't get to see her as much anymore because she has a BF. lame. jk ash.

Betsy- my "room roommate" as i call it. Betsy and i go waaay back. from the time in 7th grade when she didn't come to the party i invited her to. :P Betsy hears all my complaints, opinions, goals, cries, and even eats my food concoctions. Betsy is the best friend a girl could ask for. Betsy has a 1 of a kind personality that is sincere. she's not fake at all and people like this about her. she tells it how it is.

Melissa- the woman of every talent. She can even fix the garbage disposal. :D Melissa is there for me all hours of the day. i know that i can talk to her about whatever and she will give me the neutral advice that i need sometimes. she's going to be a great missionary too. :D

Tara- LOVE this girl. tara and i come from a similar background and we bonded over understanding each other. It's nice to be able to talk to her and know that when she says she understands she really does. she is adventurous and we keep a list of_______ together too. which i still need to write down officially. ;)

Lauren- my little laurenita! i love when she gets into these random fits of laughing. it makes everyone laugh. she will even watch miss america with me. lauren loves life and she radiates with the light of the gospel and her joy for life. Lauren knows who she is and won't let anyone's opinions change this.

Mckenna- she has the best personality. she is SO beautiful. honestly. the boys are probably all after her! Mckenna can have a fun time with a roll of paper towels. She is caring and is a very true friend to everyone. She also has a way of getting out of situations that i don't know how to get out of. haha.

Carrie- i met her my first day in logan. she is one of the most wonderful girls i've ever met. She is nearly perfect. she is a hard worker, SO smart, she is one of the greatest example of showing a Christlike love toward everyone that i have ever met. I need to do more with her so i can learn from her. She is one of those people that is good at everything but you can't dislike them because they are so stinkin' sweet too!

SO not happening

This is all my i have to say about blind date #1.

ummm...... not my vision of a cowboy. He swore. He never opened the door for me. (in fact, when i droped me off he just stopped the car. i got out and he started driving away before i had time to shut the door) He parked his motorcycle in his living room. I told him i got burnt from a motorcycle when i was little on my thigh. He wanted me to show it to him. ummm.. HECK NO! He made his grandma pay for the parking tickets he got while driving her car. He had huge holes in his jeans that you could see his garments. He was kinda rude and called me scum. literally. not kidding. I have bad luck with guys.

okay, i'm done venting.

on the bright side Ashley's date was really cute with her. he taught her how to play the guitar and took her out on a deserted road and in his camero drove about 120 MPH! I'm glad they had fun.

At least i have more things to add to my list of things i'm not looking for in a guy right?

7 couples, 1 great dance, and a whole lot of leftovers!

A week ago my roommate Melissa got a bee in her bonnet to go to the institute dance. I was indifferent to the idea. sounded fun but i kinda lack in the department of how many guys i know and lack even more in the area of asking them out. Well one thing led to another and baddabing baddaboom we all got dates. I went with a guy in my ward named Andrew. He lives in the same building right behind me. He and his roommates all play musical instruments and we get serenaded and free concerts all the time. it's great! And i'm not even being sarcastic. I didn't really know him that well, but i don't really know any guys that well up here so it was fine.

After we all had a date lined up we came up with what we wanted to make for dinner. We went to Walmart and spent 2 hours shopping for food. But we got a new fruit- a pear apple. so it was fine.


and we got to try on freakin' awesome christmas sweaters!

yesterday at around 4 we started cooking. I was nearly done with the mint pie filling and i was stirring it on the stove in a plastic bowl. no one was using the stove so i thought it was no big deal. But Betsy decided to start cooking the chicken and turned on the stove. needless to say..... the bowl didn't make it. and the pie filling barely survived. it was actually hilarious. good thing i have cat like reflexes and grabbed the bowl and held it over a different bowl before it all leaked out. cooking took FOREVER! i've never cooked for 14 people before. we all had different jobs and then everyone but melissa and i went to get our dates.... but we still had a lot to do. so dinner started a half an hour later but it actually worked out just fine. I think everyone liked dinner. i thought it tasted magnificent. We kinda over estimated how much guys eat. All i know is that my one brother can shovel it down like none other and figured all other guys could too.... but no one ate that much last night..... so now we have like a good 1/3 of the food left in our fridge. But at least we don't have to cook for the next week. lol. :P

Dinner was really fun. We all talked and i got to know all of the people there better. Andrew is really funny! I could kinda tell from the previous conversations i had but i didn't get the full effect.

you know how i can't dance?.... like how i am so uncoordinated in dancing. Well good news! i'm getting better! Not kidding either! I still probably look ridiculous.... but i am not as awkward looking. the dance was fun. i learned how to cha cha, and a disco dance too! It was the best dance i've been to. the music and the people.

Feeling better about all things life

Have you ever had a dream where you woke up with tears rolling down your face?! I experienced it for the first time this morning. it was weird. I am not sharing said dream but i will tell you almost this exact even happened today and i am so grateful that i had this experience because it prepared me for what exactly i needed to do today. Boy am i glad i did. I finally let my feelings out today and let everything go and i now know i will be able to get over this fully.
I am SO glad that i had this experience even though it was super hard for me. I have learned a lot about myself and even more about how i want to live my life and the type of person i want to share it with. I am surprisingly not upset anymore. i don't know why but i honestly feel by saying everything i've been wanting to say has allowed me to move on.
I feel free of heartache now and honestly don't have hard feelings for him anymore. I know i will get through this.
Prayer is my best friend and i am so grateful for the gospel in my life.
I love Logan. I love fall and the leaves that are changing colors! I can't wait to (in a way) start fresh up here and to have said situation from a couple posts ago off my mind.
I hope there aren't hard feelings from the other side because that wasn't my plan. i doubt you read my blog, but if you do, i'm sorry. thank you for the experience and the great person you were in my life. :D

story time- it's a funny story time. I haven't told you much about my roommates but my roommate Anna is completely accident prone. she has more problems staying safe and unscathed than anyone i have ever met in my life. she has had an iron fall on her foot, knocked the fire extinguisher off the wall (even the HUGE screw holding it to the wall), fallen over simply walking across the street, falling into a swimming pool, being chucked into cement, and tonight she got punched in the face/eye during FHE.... i wasn't in the same game group as her so i didn't see it happen but i wish i would have been! they were playing spoons. SPOONS! how the heck does that happen?! ah ha! anyway some kid punched her in the face grabbing a spoon.... poor girl. she has a nice black eye and acted loopy tonight after it. i hope she didn't get a concussion from it....

1100 people on 21 elementary school buses

today ROCKED my little socks right off. (actually they are pantyhose. black ones with cute designs actually.) :D
i went to sacrament meeting at 9:30 today instead of the normal 12:45. It was muy bien because there were new faces and cute guys. um... but that's not really the point.
we had to go early because we were headed to PROVO to sing in the CES fireside. That Elder Ballard was speaking at. yes ma'am i did.
so we meet and we get on our busses and the seats seemed to be placed closer together than i remembered from my days of riding the bus to school..... like 3 times closer than i remember. like my knees couldn't be straight out, close together. so instead i had to sit like a man (in a dress....) and got charlie horses and cramps. But looking on the bright side.... at least i'm not 6'6" like the guy in front of me. i think his knees were in his chest. poor guy.
We sang really good. It was fun. it was cool. and i got to see my familia. i even saw them in the audience. they were the size of an ant cause of how far away they were. and my mommy made me a good sandwich. It's weird that even a sandwich tastes better made from home than at my apartment. i talked to them for like 10 minutes and then we made our adventure home.
the tall guy in front of me gave Betsy and I some enjoyment. ah ahaha. he reminded me of Collins on the mormon pride and prejudice. he could not stop talking about how cool he was and how he wants to teach institute so people will tell him their secrets..... uhh.... anyways. i don't think he'll be an institute teacher anytime soon...

i did betsy's hair really cute on the way home. and then she played with mine. and i decided that my future husband is going to play with my hair all the time. cause it is SO relaxing! :D i'm so tired now cause of the long day.

i need to stretch my legs.
and i don't want to go to my drawing class this week. cause i don't wanna see naked people. Let alone draw them. :(

so i talked about everything i miss about Orem yesterday and decided that i should talk about what i love here as to feel happy again. so here goes

my roommates:
Betsy- she listens to my worries and stresses. her sarcasm that can make anyone laugh. she's a peacemaker and she made me a burrito this one time too!
Melissa- her mad cooking skills (if i gain the freshmen fifteen it's all her fault!) how she looks cute and doesn't even have to try! her DVD collection that makes me watch movies when i should be doing other things, and her stories, and demonstration with anna that one night. ;)
Ashley- her super loving personality! her cute giggle, how she's going to get married this year and how we have to find a guy for her first.... the good friend that she is.
Anna- knowing that when the doorbell rings, it's a guy for her. how she spits liquid out of her math every time she laughs and drinks, her snort, her "weird moods", and her kissing tips and stories.

The Merril-Cazier Library- the quiet corners with TONS of natural light to study in. and the attractive boy who i don't know that is sitting across from me. :D
