day four- coulee to seattle

So we went and ate at the R&A Cafe for breakfast in coulee dam. i was there ALL the time in grade school! Karah's (my BFFFFFF from gradeschool) parent's owns it and we would go and sit in the big freezer in the summer time to cool down. I miss those carefree days. Food is excellente though.

and then we left coulee and headed to seattle. we got to bellevue and went to the seattle temple there. it was really pretty too!

We checked into our hotel room

see.... we DID pack light!

and then we went to the boardwalk in downtown seattle!! o my heck i love seattle. we played owl city's hello seattle as soon as we saw the city. and we went to several places downtown like pioneer square where a guy tried to hit on us. (what the heck? seriously, do we really look like that the kind of girls?) and even to the local radio shack because Jane died on us. (the GPS)

after this we went to alki beach!! it was so so sosososo! cool!
seriously! i love the ocean!

we also saw a lighthouse there too!

and then we went to bed.

funny quotes of the day:
"Alright, this is going to be epic!!! get ready.... PEANUT BUTTER!!!!" -sara (the longest bridge ever!)

Day threeee- just coulee dam

july fourth was a good good day. :D

us painting our nails for church
I got to go to church at my old building. the building that i was baptised in, the building where i first started gaining my testimony, the building i went to achievement days in, the building i miss with people i missed! One man, Brother Edwards is really sick and probably won't live much longer and i gave him a big hug and i was so glad i got to see him! He is such a cool guy! former deputy sheriff of the town. I played a musical number in sacrament on the piano and even bore my testimony, which i really should do more often. I seriously LOVE my ward there! I think i am closer to the people there than i am in my ward now. You will never find a better ward than that one.
After church we took the dam tour. (of the dam) It was fun, but i wish the incline elevator would have been working. the weirdest part was that there people in our tour from orem!! it was crazy weird!

one mile long

then we went back to my grandparent's house for a BBQ

us in our bibs so we don't get stains. :D my grandma thinks of everything!

and then we went to the city festival thing and saw elvis. :D

what a hunk of burnin love. :P
and we also went to the visitor center there and played with some of the stuff there.

then finally the lazer light show started!!! it never gets old. i've seen this show so many times in my life and i still love it! it's an experience like none other!

Right after the show the fireworks started! It's not the biggest show ever but it is cool to see them off the off the top of the dam. :D

after that we walked home across the dreaded bridge of death and some drunk guys asked us to go with them and we said heck no. It was a really fun time. lauren fell asleep right when we got home.

i love my gparents!

this is my old house. look at the old key!!!

Funny Quotes of the day:
"ugh! i bought the cigarettes last time!"-lauren

Senior trip day two-Missoula to Spokane to Coulee dam WA

I was a fan of montana but i was overly excited to go home (that is Coulee dam washington!) You can't even realize how happy i was! i seriously got teary eyed driving down the dam hill. It brought back so many memories!
But first we went to spokane and used the restrooms at the Davenport hotel! (2nd best hotel in the US and 5th best in the world!) It was so so so cool!! I forgot to mention sara giving us a lesson in italian opera by playing it non stop for THREE SONGS!! she lost her privilege of choosing songs. It was unanimous (minus her of course)

and we looked around and took ourselves on a self guided (and possibly not allowed) tour..... It was a grand place!
o also i accidentally slammed betsy's fingers in the car door.... :( sorry betsy!

then we went to RIVERFRONT PARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my childhood!!! we rode another carousel and my horse didn't even have a name this time!! for real!??? what kind of carousel are you running!?

Then we played on the biggest red wagon ever built! :D Jealous? i bet you are!

Then we went around the park and played with ducks (and tried dodging goose poop) and also ate our lunch.

Then we filed up with gas and we saw a morgan freeman look a like! heck, it was him! "we're so blessed." ha ha!
ON TO THE COULEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is my excited face

COULEEEE!! i love youuuuu!!! I was freaking out the entire two hour drive from spokane!
we went to spring canyon and swam!

and my friend charlie came too!!!!! the only other lDS kid my age that lived there when i did. (charlie may i see your back?! ahah!)

we jumped off the dock lots and

and played bad Minton too.

Then after our fill of the beach we went to the siam palace for dinner! yummy!! Best food in town! Grandma and grandpa came to that with us. :D

Then we got a tour of the town from charlie and went to several parks and places i never went to when i lived there! it was crazy! I lived there for 6 years and i could hardly believe i had never gone to them!

Then we went home to our trailer :D and hit the sack (after getting all the sand off of us from the beach.)
oh, p.s. we had a theme song for our trip that we played once an hour: "Your Love is my drug" I'm not really sure why we chose that one but that doesn't really matter. It just matters that we played it at least 24 times a day. ha ha! it was the best!

funny quotes of the day:
"I smell some delicious chipage!" -Sara
"you just blew my ear drums out! can you heeeeeeaaaare me????" -Lauren
"It says montoria..... i mean antiques." -Lauren
"YOU CAN SEEEEEE THE DAAAAAMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" -me :D "o, dam"-Betsy. ha ha!

senior trip day numbero uno (orem to Idaho falls to missoula montana)

The past month has been the absolute bestest month of my life thus far! I have no idea where to even begin!
Okay i really do know where: SENIOR TRIP!!
so this blog post is dedicated to the best trip i've been on! the first day of it. i'll do a post on everyday i think.
I never knew how much time it took to plan for a trip! There's the hotels, the activities, the food, the gas, the bus systems, the "how to use pepper spray" talk from grandpa, The "act like you're married when checking into a hotel" talk from mom, and every other piece of advice that EVERYONE was more than willing to share. The funny thing is that none of them were the same. Everyone had different advice for the most bizzare of situations that i'd never heard of and definitely did not happen on our trip.

But everytime i just nodded and said "What a good idea! I'll have to try that!" lol.

So the morning that we left was great. Betsy assured everyone that the trunk of her car would be plenty big. If i could give my advice to anyone traveling with 4 "light packer" teenaged girls it would be to get good at tetris. By the time our trip was over we had packing that trunk down to a very literal art!

The first day we headed to montana. we got to stop for lunch in idaho falls. we saw the beautiful temple (they're all beautiful though!) and the falls as well. i chased some ducks, took just a few (yeah right) pictures and then we were off to MONTANA! (land of the cowboy!)

on our car ride we all played the kissing test game on my itouch. :D it was really funny and i think i still have lip prints on it. But who cares! It was good practice for the future right?..... (just kidding dad, i'm never gonna do nasty stuff like kiss) :P

Montana is beautiful! sigh. I kinda might a little itty bit might want to live there one day! we got to missoula and we went to "cara's park" we rode a carousel and my horses name was Evansgone. i always get the horses with ugly names. (you will see)
It was fun.

then we went to the park next door and it was designed by kids apparently! Pretty sweet. I'm a fan of montana i tell you!

After that we checked into our hotel where i was supposed to be pretending i was married (and i was considering doing it that is until) the checker in guy in the lobby was seriously drop dead attractive! and i'm not just saying this! cause all four of us wanted to keep going back and asking questions so we could look at his face. And i talked to him for a while cause he kept telling me things we should do in seattle! and i listened. :D we wrote a compliment card for him in our hotel rooom. :D

yes, that does says hot guy at front desk. deserves a raise. :D don't worry, those aren't are real numbers. :D too bad though. And to think.... HE COULD HAVE BEEN A COWBOY! :(

then we walked around downtown missoula and i liked their fire hydrants. :D They were OHS colors.

then we ate dinner and filled up our trash can in record time. It looks like we could have gotten rid of half our trunk full of stuff with this trash can full of stuff. the sad thing was that the trunk was not any less full the next morning when checking out. O and hot stuff wasn't at the desk in the morning either. :(

funny quotes of the day:
"I'm a veteran of the kissing world!" Lauren (our kissing test thing)
"I want to grow grass on my roof!" Betsy
"We are so blessed" - Me (thank you lauren's dad!)
"No! they just added some chub!" -Lauren
"It hurts! put your hand out!" -Lauren
